My baking workshops are designed to be more than just a class – they’re a full experience.
Whether you're coming on your own, with friends, or as a gift for someone special, I’ll make sure you feel right at home in my bright, purpose-built kitchen at Napton Marina. You’ll spend XX hours learning new baking techniques, working through recipes step-by-step, and creating delicious treats you’ll be proud to take home.
Workshops are small and personal, with a maximum of XX guests – so you’ll get plenty of one-to-one guidance. Everything you need is provided, including ingredients, equipment, aprons, refreshments, and of course, bubbles and cake to enjoy during the session. Expect lots of laughs, plenty of learning, and a truly relaxed, feel-good atmosphere.
With over 25 years of baking experience – from markets to managing my own cake shop – I’ve taught hundreds of people to fall in love with baking. My kitchen is fully equipped, spacious and built just for these special days – a lovely little escape from the everyday.

I can’t recommend Louise’s kids parties highly enough! The organisation was fantastic, the kids had so much fun and it was really reasonably priced. They came away with skills and lots of sweet treats. Perfect for my 8 year old and her 6 friends.

We made cupcakes, scones and mousse as well as getting to eat an afternoon tea with Prosecco as a little break. We had a fabulous time and got to take everything home at the end and it tastes delicious! I would 100% go back for another one of the workshops she provides.

The macaron baking experience was my 10 year olds Christmas gift. We had the most wonderful day with Lou who effortlessly managed a young baker.
From the demonstrations and then careful guidance we both produced a perfect set of macarons. My daughter was thrilled and the sweet treats sampled whilst we waited for everything to bake were amazing.

We got to bring so much home with us that we had made and despite all saying ‘ours won’t look as good as that’ they all looked brilliant! I had an amazing time with Louise at The CakeSmith. An older lady with no experience of making a cake since leaving school and never iced a cake. We had a 1 to 1 session today which was lovely. I was not disappointed in my day at all. I have got to take home some delicious items and cannot wait to practice some more. Highly recommend visiting here.

We really enjoyed our treatbox workshop today. Louise was warm and friendly and made us feel at ease really quickly. We had a fantastic time. It was so lovely to pause in between activities to try some different tasty nibbles all presented beautifully to make it feel like a real treat! The workshop was really clear to follow along, well organised and Louise was so approachable to ask questions or ask for a little help! Even though we had both done baking at home previously we both came away having learned some new skills, techniques, tips and tricks and are absolutely thrilled with what we had created! Can't wait to give some new ideas and equipment a try! Will keep an eye out for future workshops and would love to come back. 💕
